 Simple Almond
 Paste Coffee Cake

A slice of almond coffee cake with a bite taken out of it sits on a counter with a fork adjacent

Such an easy treat to prepare,
this cake is made using almond
 paste instead of almond flour,
which makes it extra moist and
fluffy. It can also be made
 gluten-free!

A sliced almond coffee cake sits in a dark metal serving dish with a knife adjacent

 Ingredients:
 - Almond Paste
 - All-Purpose Flour
 - Eggs
 - Cornstarch
 - Eggs
 - Unsalted Butter
 - Rum (optional)

 For Baking: Sliced Almonds

A buttered metal cake tin that is lightly dusted with slivered almonds sits on the counter

 Butter the cake tin then
 line the tin with sliced
 almonds, covering the
 bottom & the edges of
 the tin

 Melt the butter & set
 aside. Sift the flour &
 cornstarch & set aside

 Using the paddle
 attachment, smooth out
 the almond paste with 1
 egg

 Once smooth, add
the rest of the eggs one
 at a time and mix

 Mix the melted butter
 into the almond cake
 batter, then fold in the
 flour/cornstarch until
 combined

 Pour the almond paste
 cake batter into the cake
tin. Bake until the cake is
 golden & completely set

 Once you have removed
the cake from the oven, let
it sit for 2 minutes, then
turn the tin over a wire
 rack & remove the tin

 Let it cool
 completely before
 you eat it. Enjoy!
